Artistree course offers help in overcoming uncertainty

"Whether they are artists, business leaders, or parents, attempting to transcend feelings of anxiety and uncertainty is a difficult task nearly all people will face at some point in their lives. Overcoming those feelings will be the end goal for students at the upcoming “Intro to Embodypreneur” series at Artistree Community Arts Center.

According to Phoenix, a major step in this process of self-actualization is to combat the inner voice that says: “You can’t do it.” Phoenix says that internal dialogue is one that everyone hears at some point, and believes there is a way to address that voice and prove it incorrect.

“What I’ve heard from so many people, entrepreneurs and artists alike, is that when they wake up in the morning, that’s the voice that greets them,” she said. “They go to try and do their work, and they’re already off their game, and it’s hard to then reach to clients or to do their advertising, or just go out and talk to people, because their confidence is shaken by the internal voice.”
