Another Day in The Life of an ACT Jr Camper!
My name is Will, I have been doing this camp since I was seven. This was my first time as an ACTivator. I’ve been in lots of plays at Artistree and other places some of my favorite roles I’ve had were Mr. Wormwood from Matilda, and Kristoph from Frozen. I was excited to come back to this camp to be with people from last year and to have a fun time.
Today it rained a lot all day but that didn’t stop us from having a great time! In the beginning of the day we did our usual warmups and stretching. Afterwards, we went to the theatre to practice a couple of group songs.
Later we had snacks inside and people gathered in small groups to eat their food. After snack, we went back to the theatre to do a full run thru of the show as much as we could (due to rain). That was a lot of fun because everyone got to see the acts that we haven’t seen before because we have been working hard on our own scenes that we’re in.
After we had lunch, we had a bit of a dance party. Everyone was singing and dancing to songs including: “Shake it off” and “Firework”. Then we got to try on costumes. Everyone had been dying to see their costumes all day! They were so cool! After we tried them on we got to celebrate a camper’s birthday by having popsicles. It was a pretty awesome day…
We’ve been working extremely hard to put this show together and we hope you can come and see it!
