Another Day in The Life of an ACT Jr Camper!

Hi! My name is Acadia. This is my third summer participating in the acting program here at Artistree! It is my first time as an ACTivator. Last year I was in Matilda and played the role of Mrs. Wormwood and I am so excited that I can come back this year and work with the amazing cast and crew as we put on Finding Nemo Jr!

Everyone arrived with smiles on their faces today because it was our Opening Show! As the campers arrived in the morning we immediately started getting into costume and hair! We did a run through of the show to make sure everything was ready for opening night. After our run through we ate lunch followed by a LOT of singing and dancing to Broadway Musicals. Shortly after, we watched “Finding Dory” in the theatre. Then we had a pizza party to celebrate our first show! 

After the pizza party it was only two hours til showtime! Everyone got touch ups on their hair and got their makeup done. Then we got into a big circle and did some physical and vocal warmups as well as a warmup to get our first show jitters out, then it was showtime!

The first show was a success! We have worked so hard on this show and we are so excited that we are finally able to share it with you all! We really hope you can come watch!
