The Empty Bowls Project

Come and paint all the beautiful bowls that were thrown for Empty Bowls.

Come paint bowls for a very good cause. Empty Bowls is an international project to fight hunger, personalized by artists and art organizations on a community level. Potters gather together to make and decorate bowls for a community supper of donated bread and soup that is served as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world. Bowls are available for purchase and all of the money raised goes to organizations working to end food insecurity. Empty Bowls in Pomfret is a collaboration between Judi Greene, ArtisTree, and the community.

The 10th annual Empty Bowls Project dinner will be held on March 31, 2019 at The Pomfret Town Hall. All funds will benefit the Woodstock Food Shelf and Change the World Kids

Note: Preregistration is required to participate. All levels of experience are welcome. No class January 21. Judi Greene has been teaching ceramics at ArtisTree for four years. Mostly self-taught over the last 40 years, Judi’s interest in production pottery stemmed out of the Pomfret Empty Bowls project that she started with her neighbors and friends. The bulk of her formal training has come from working at Farmhouse Pottery since 2014.
