Spring Vase Workshop
If April’s showers bring May’s flowers, what will we put them in? In this 2-day workshop, we will create a ceramic vase by hand building with slabs. We’ll learn what forms make suitable vases and we’ll explore altering shapes and adding decorations. We will view, and possibly make, other vessels for flowers such as flower bricks, wedding vases, tulipieres, and ikebana vessels.
Included with this workshop will be the opportunity to display your vase in the Artistree Gallery during our “Flower Festival” show June 25 - July 24. This show will feature flower arrangements installed in vases throughout the gallery, along with flowery paintings and photography.
Some experience with ceramics is helpful but not necessary! All materials included.
