ArtisTree Plein Air Painting Group
Venture outside weekly to paint our gorgeous Vermont landscape with fellow artists. Soak in the sun and practice your en plein air painting skills to capture the beauty around us, from farms and mountains to rivers and lakes. Marie will find ideal scenic painting sites each week and facilitate a friendly and supportive painting environment.
Please bring all of your own painting supplies, portable easel, chair, water bottle, and snack. All mediums are welcome: acrylics, oils, gouache, and watercolor. Wear outdoor clothes suitable for the weather and that protect from poison ivy and tall grass, a hat, and sunblock for sun protection.
Additionally, this is not a class but a painting group. There will be no formal instruction, but there will be a debriefing at the end of each painting session. Lastly, due to the outdoor nature of this program there will be limited access to restrooms, and we might have to do some walking into locations to paint so participant mobility is essential. Dress for rain showers and we will duck in under cover for a complete plein air experience. Plein air is about painting in all weather conditions to capture the changing light and atmosphere.
No group meeting on July 5.
