Music Theory 101
Ever wondered why the notes or chords you play do or don’t work out? Do you play an instrument regularly but have never delved into the theory behind what you are laying? Ever wanted to broaden your musicianship, playing ability, and overall understanding of music? If so…this class may be of interest to you. We will go over very basic music theory, the circle of fifths,
scale and chord structure, modes, and how chords and melodies work together. It’s a hands-on
class and everyone should bring an instrument if they want to. Younger students may enroll pending instructor approval.
