Looking Back, Looking Ahead with Soul Collage®

SoulCollage® is a creative collage process for self-discovery, self-acceptance, and personal empowerment.

Deepen your SoulCollage® practice with this afternoon of card making in community to reflect on where you've been and what might be emerging for you this coming year. Explore sources of inspiration while expanding your deck. Art therapists and certified SoulCollage® facilitators Beth Kendrick and Kendra Schpok will hold a nurturing space to foster community, guide your practice of doing personal readings in small groups, and support developing your SoulCollage® card making skills. All tools and materials to make four cards will be provided. Attendees should bring a SoulCollage® deck., preferred tools (if you have any), and a journal (optional). Additional card packs will be available for purchase.

Kendra Schpok holds a BFA in Glass from Tyler School of Art and a Masters in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology & Art Therapy from Naropa University. Working in a variety of settings in the mental health field, she was the founding clinical supervisor of the Creative Arts Therapy Team at Mount Saint Vincent in Denver, CO, co-authoring Doodles, Dance, and Ditties: A Trauma-Informed Somasensory Manual. During her time as the Coordinator of the Naropa University Community Art Studio in Boulder, CO and the Director of The Canvas Gallery and Community Art Studio at REACH in Juneau, AK, she presented nationally on the role of the community art studio in supporting individual and collective wellbeing and an agent of social change.

A life-long artist, Kendra has explored many creative paths. A stained glass artist for over forty years, she has completed numerous residential and commercial commissions, most recently as the owner of 7th Circle Glass Works in New Haven. She is also a painter and 3-dimensional mixed media artist. Since becoming a certified SoulCollage® Facilitator in 2014, she has introduced many to the joys of SoulCollage® as a fun, creative approach to personal growth and self-exploration, both in her clinical practice and in the community.

Beth Kendrick ATR-BC, LCMHC is a certified SoulCollage® facilitator, art and play therapist and mental health counselor living with her family and working in private practice in Central Vermont. She is a life long fine artist who actively maintains her art making practice using mixed media, encaustic and collage. While she has exhibited her art widely in her professional life, these past few years has called her to reflectively turn inward to seek inner wisdom, awareness of self, connection to universal energy, nature and her personal power using art as a vehicle for exploration. This practice opens her up to reflect on this changing world and her place in it. She has found SoulCollage® to be a simple process to learn, which yields an abundance of self-understanding with rich opportunities for accessing intuition, self-nurturance and creativity. Beth spends her free time enjoying all the benefits that the great outdoors and beauty of Vermont provides with her husband, adult children and her energetic dog. She sings with the Montpelier Gospel Choir, and is working on obtaining her level 2 Reiki training, all of which support moving through this world in collaboration with love, light and Universal wisdom.
