Intro to Sewing Machine
You have a little sewing experience…now try the machine! This small class is an ideal setting to learn how a sewing machine works. You’ll learn the basic operation of a sewing machine, how to sew French seams, and more. We’ll lay out, measure, cut, and sew a pillowcase from a pattern. It’s wonderful to be able to sew creatively for yourself or to make gifts for others. Prerequisite: must be able to thread a needle and sew the running stitch by hand.
A life-long painter, knitter, sewist, and now hand-spinner, Rachel Kahn teaches knitting and sewing to children and adults in the Woodstock area. For more information about Rachel, please visit her website [http://www.rachelkahnvermontknitter.com/]
