Intro to Kung Fu for Teen Girls
Teen girls are invited to join Sonia on an epic quest in Kung Fu. Students will train in the Wing Chun style, a Chinese martial art that dates back 300 years and means “springtime.” Wing Chun is an internal style that specializes in close range combat, utilizing both striking and grappling, and it was designed to be simple, direct, and efficient. Wing Chun practices and develops extraordinary sensitivity, balance, endurance, and coordination. In this class we will be training our minds, bodies, and spirits to build a higher degree of physical fitness as well as mental focus. Practicing movements with a still mind helps us unwind tensions and become one with the totality of the experience. While learning this system you will also be learning how to navigate life’s bumps with confidence and understand the power of what a sisterhood can provide.
