Creative Colors: Homeschool
Using multiple mediums throughout the course, we will explore how color works. You’ll learn color tricks, all about color themes, how colors relate to emotions and moods and how color is used in story telling. This is a great experiential way to learn the fundamentals of color theory. Projects will include: color wheels, still life drawings, animal drawings, and fun fantastical paintings.
Students will learn fundamentals of color theory, including:
1) Primary, secondary and Tertiary colors
2) Analogous, Complementary and Monochromatic color themes
3) Tints, shades, tone, hue, intensity, saturation, local color
Benjamin S. Anderson has lived coast to coast. As a practicing musician and artist throughout his life, Benjamin was motivated to pursue an MFA in painting to expand his knowledge and develop a pedagogical approach to observational painting. He received a BFA from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2016 and an MFA from Bowling Green State University in 2019.
