Each class Joan will lead demonstrations and helpful critiques. Artists often neglect paint application and brushstroke while giving importance to composition and color. Exciting brushstrokes, though, add flare to your creativity. Find your inner spirit and let your brush sing. All mediums are welcome: watercolor, oil, waterbase oil, and acrylic. Each medium has inherent qualities that your brushstrokes can showcase.

Joan Hoffmann attended Colorado State University Fine Arts Department, Banff School of Fine Arts, and the University of Lyon in France. Over the years Joan's career has consistently united artwork and environmental advocacy. She has painted, taught, and presented work at numerous national parks. Following her residencies in Yosemite (2005) and Marsh Billings Rockefeller (2016), she will be an artist-in-residence in Zion in 2019. For more information about Joan, visit her website.
