ArtisTree Plein Air Painting Group
Venture outside weekly to paint our gorgeous Vermont landscape with fellow artists. Soak in the autumn sun and practice your en plein air painting skills to capture the beauty around us, from scenic farms and mountains to rivers and lakes. The organizer will find ideal scenic painting places each week and will coordinate and facilitate a friendly and supportive painting environment.
Please bring all your own painting supplies, portable easel, chair, water bottle, and snack. All mediums are welcome including acrylics, oils, gouache and watercolor. Wear outdoor clothes suitable for the weather and that protect from poison ivy and tall grass, a hat, and sunblock for sun protection.
Additionally, this is not a class but a painting group. There will be no formal instruction; however, there will be a debriefing at the end of each painting session. Lastly, due to the outdoor nature there will be limited access to restrooms, and we might have to do some walking into locations to paint so participant mobility is essential. Dress for rain showers and we will duck in under cover for a complete plein air experience. Plein air is about painting in all weather conditions to capture the changing light and atmosphere.
